As we walked along the dirt road from present day Gede to the Gede
Ruins, we saw this path leading off the road. We stopped to look
down the path. All the children waved to us to come. We entered
their small compond of dwelling places.

We took this matatu from Malindi to Gede. It didn't make it.
We hopped on a safari bus-like vehical and continued to Gede.
We had not paid the matatu the fare. By now it had become
our practice to pay after arriving at our destination.
