About Advisory Board Member Enric Vilà
Enric Vilà is from Barcelona, the capital city of Catalonia in the northeast of Spain. He holds degrees in Business Administration (1993), Social Economics and management of non-profit entities (1993), and Religious Studies (2012). Currently he is studying at the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia.
Enric has been actively involved in a number of bodies: president of ACGIL, the Christian LGBT Association of Catalonia (1996-2001); a member of the executive committee of ILGA-Europe (1996-1998), and co-chair of the European Forum of LGBT Christian Groups (2007-2011). Other memberships include Christianity and Justice (1985-1988) and the Life and Gospel Forum (2000-2003).
In 2000 Enric coordinated and co-wrote the book Homosexuality in the beginning of the Twenty-First Century(2000). Subsequently he has authored Bible and Homosexuality: Exegesis of Texts (2012). He is a regular contributor to two magazines published in Barcelona, namely, Lambda and Obrint Camins (“Opening Roads”).
