Other Sheep Coordinators for Myanmar and Thailand discuss items of business at ILGA 2016

David and Saw Other Sheep meeting 200 x 200Other Sheep Coordinators for Myanmar (Saw Zin Maung Soe) and Thailand (Pongthorn Chanlearn), along with the Executive Director of Other Sheep (Rev. Steve Parelli), met together on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Bangkok, Thailand, ILGA (International Lesbian and Gay Association) International Conference (November 27-December 3, 2016) to discuss Other Sheep matters of business.

BRONX, NEW YORK, by Rev. STEPHEN PARELLI, MARCH 1, 2017*

Four items were discussed and agreed upon (see the embedded post immediately following):

(1) The need for training, workshops and consultations;
(2) The need to revise the Burmese translation of The Children Are Free:Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-sex Relatinships by Rev. Jeff Miner and Rev. John Tyler Connoley;
(3) Reported/shared what is happening in each country; and
(4) To create a closed group Facebook page for Other Sheep for the Southeast Asia geographical region.

 

 

 

 

 

ILGA is an international secular organization that, through activism by its members throughout the world, works for the human rights of LGBT people in various countries and regions.  Other Sheep is a non-voting member of ILGA.
